PRIVACY POLICY

KJC DISPLAY Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Company”) values personal information of User and complies with “Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, Etc.” In amendment of the Privacy Policy, the Company will notify User by posting a notice in website (or separate notification).

ο This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2018

Personal Information to be Collected
The Company collects following personal information for sign-up, consultation, service application, etc.
  • ο Collected Items : Name, log-in ID, password, phone number, address, cell phone number, access log,
  • ο - Personal Information Collection Method : Website (sign-up), delivery request
Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information
The Company utilizes collected personal information for following purposes
  • ο Performance of service contract and settlement of charges for provided service
  • ο Member Management – Authentication for use of membership service
Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information
The Company immediately destroys the personal information upon achieving the purpose of collection and use of personal information in principle. Provided, following information is preserved for the specified period for following reasons.

B. Retention of Information by Related Statutes

The Company preserves the information of the Member for the certain period regulated by the related statutes when it is necessary to preserve the information in accordance with related statutes including Commercial Act and Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc. in this case, the preserved information shall be used for the related purpose and the period of preservation shall be as follows.

- Records on Contract and Cooling-Off

Period of Preservation : Five Years
- Records on Payment and Supply of Commodities
Grounds of Preservation: Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc.
Period of Preservation: Five Years
- Records on Electronic Financial Transaction
Grounds of Preservation: Electronic Financial Transactions Act
Period of Preservation: Five Years
- Records on Consumer Complaint and Dispute Settlement
Grounds of Preservation : Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, Etc.
Period of Preservation: Three Years
Procedures and Method of Personal Information Destruction
In principle, the Company immediately destroys the personal information upon achieving the purpose of collecting and using the personal information. The procedures and methods of destruction are as follows.
  • ο Procedures of Destruction

    The Information submitted by the User in signing up is transferred to a separate database (a separate filing cabinet in case of paper) upon achieving the purpose, stored for a certain period (refer to Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information) according to grounds of personal information protection in the internal policy and other related statutes, and destroyed after the period. The personal information is not used for any purposes other than the intended purpose unless otherwise provided in other Acts.

  • ο Methods of Destruction

    - Personal information saved in electronic file is deleted by using a technical method so that information cannot be recycled

    - Personal information printed on a paper is destroyed by shredding in a shredder or incinerating.

Provision of Personal Information
The company does not provide the personal information of the User to Third Party in principle. Provided, the Company may provide the personal information for any of the following cases.
  • - Where personal information is needed for delivery, installation, and repair of the product (name, cell phone number, address)
  • - Where the User granted consent in advance
Entrustment of Collected Personal Information
The company does not entrust the personal information to external companies other than the contracted delivery, installation, and repair companies unless otherwise consented by the User. When it is deemed necessary to entrust personal information, the Company will notify the User about entrusted company and entrusted affairs and gain a prior consent if necessary.
Rights of users and their legal representatives and how to exercise them
The User and legal representative may access or modify the registered personal information or personal information of a child under the age of 14 years and request on deleting the account at any time.
To view and modify the personal information of the user or a child under the age of 14 years, the User and legal representative may inspect and correct the personal information in “Change Personal Information” (or “Change Member Information”). To delete the account (withdraw consent), the User and legal representative may click “Delete Account” and go through authentication process to delete the account.
Or, contact personal information manager in writing, call, or e-mail and the personal information manager will handle the matter immediately. In case of requesting on correction of the error in the personal information, the Company does not use or provide the personal information until it is corrected.

Also, when the wrong personal information is already provided to the Third Party, the Company immediately notifies the Third Party of the personal information correction results to correct the information
The Company handles the personal information cancelled or deleted under the request of User or legal representative in accordance with “Period of Retention and Use of Personal Information Collected by Company” and the personal information is not accessed or used for other purposes.
Installation and Operation of Automatic Personal Information Collection System and Refusal
The Company uses “Cookie” that saves and loads information of the User. “Cookie” is a small text file sent from the server used to run a website to the browser and it is saved on the User’s hard disk. The Company uses cookie for following purposes.
  • ▶ Purpose of Using Cookie

    To analyze the frequency and time of accessing the website by Member and Visitors , identify tastes and areas of interests of User, follow the traces of User, and degree of participation in events and number of visiting the website to provide the marketing and customized service.
    You hold the right to choose whether to install the cookie. Therefore, you may set an option in the web browser to allow all cookies, check on each saved cookie, and refuse on saving all cookies.

  • ▶ How to Refuse Cookie

    Example : To refuse cookie setting, select options in the web browser you use to allow all cookies, check on each saved cookie, and refuse on saving all cookies
    Internet Explorer: Tools (Top of Web Browser) > Internet Option > Personal Information Provided, when you refuse to save cookies, you may be restricted in using some of the services.
